About Us
Mission Statement
Emeritus Golf is a volunteer-led non-profit organization dedicated to providing veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving members, first responders and their families access to the sport of golf through tournaments across 5 provinces. We use golf as an inclusive platform to promote peer support, mental well-being, camaraderie, and social connection within these communities.
Goals
- Provide Access to Golf: Offer competitive and non-competitive tournaments across the Martitimes, Ontario and Quebec for veterans, serving members, and first responders, while welcoming the involvement of their families.
- Support Mental Health and Peer Connection: Use golf as a platform to promote mental well-being and peer support among participants.
- Foster Camaraderie and Inclusivity: Create a welcoming, inclusive community that encourages social connection and values all participants.
- Engage and Grow Volunteer Support: Expand volunteer involvement to enhance programs and events.
- Promote Awareness and Sustainability: Raise awareness of the benefits of golf for the communities served and develop partnerships to ensure long-term growth.
